Tottenham told they have to pay ‘silly money’ to sign ‘incredible’ player before deadline day

Tottenham may still have one transfer trick up their sleeve before the end of the summer.

Spurs have already made three major signings in this window, but that hasn’t stopped links to more exciting players towards the end of the summer.

Eberechi Eze has been continuously linked to Tottenham this summer, and speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Dharmesh Sheth has been discussing the likelihood of the England international joining Tottenham.

According to Sheth, Eze is now more unlikely to join Spurs than he once was with the journalist claiming that it would now take silly money for the midfielder to join Tottenham.

Tottenham would have to pay huge money for Eberechi Eze

Sheth shared what he knows about the ‘incredible’ Crystal Palace star and Tottenham’s interest.

“It certainly looks that way. Crystal Palace don’t want to lose yet another player. We have seen Olise go, and the Guehi deal won’t go away, Joachim Andersen is on his way to Fulham,” Sheth said.

“One thing in Palace’s favour now is that they hold the cards more than they did last week, that’s because of the release clause, it has expired. If someone comes in with silly money they would have to consider that, because they’re Crystal Palace.”

Crystal Palace can’t sell Eberechi Eze

Crystal Palace were building something very exciting under Oliver Glasner last summer, but they’re in danger of dismantling all of that good work now.

Michael Olise has gone, Joachim Andersen is going and Marc Guehi is being continuously linked with a move.

Add into that the idea of Eze leaving and you’re talking about a team that would do well to stay in the Premier League this season just months after a European push was under discussion.

Palace can’t sell all of their star players in one window, and Eze simply has to stay at Selhurst Park this summer.
