Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven is receiving some big praise back in his home country.
Spurs are having a very good season under Ange Postecoglou, and one of their best players has been Van de Ven, who has hit the ground running at Tottenham since his move last summer.

Tottenham signed Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg in the summer in a £43 million deal ().
The Dutchman was highly rated in the Bundesliga, but there were concerns over how he would adapt to the pace and intensity of the Premier League.
Those doubts were thrown out of the door after Van de Ven’s debut for Spurs. He has been magnificent for them and is a fan favourite now at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs dropped points against Everton last weekend, but Van de Ven’s performance impressed everybody. He was outstanding in that game, and Suleyman Ozturk raved about him on .
The pundit said: “Virgil van Dijk was once called a Rolls-Royce and Gary Lineker made this comparison again in the broadcast.
“They are really impressed by his speed and the way in which Van de Ven manifests himself in the rear of Tottenham during the week. He was also impressive against Manchester City a week and a half ago and now this game against Everton.
“It’s incredible what kind of development he’s going through right now, he’s a Superman in a Rolls-Royce.”
Micky van de Ven can become even better for Tottenham
Tottenham star Micky van de Ven is already up there with the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
The Dutchman has everything you would want from a central defender. He is strong, good in the air, great on the ball and is absolutely rapid. He’s the fastest player in the entire division.
What’s really exciting for Tottenham fans is that Van de Ven is still just 22 years old. That means he will become even better in the coming years.
Tottenham take on Brighton next, and Van de Ven is expected to start. If he has another good game, Spurs’ chances of winning will go up significantly.
