Tottenham told they have an 18-year-old youngster who can become as good as Dejan Kulusevski
Tottenham Hotspur youngster Lucas Bergvall has been receiving a lot of praise, and the latest one suggests he could become as good as Dejan Kulusevski.
Spurs hijacked Barcelona’s move to sign the talented Swedish teenager. He will move to Tottenham in the summer, and there’s a lot of excitement over how good he can be under Ange Postecoglou.
Lucas Bergvall can become as good as Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski
Tottenham new-boy Lucas Bergvall started his career at Brommapojkarna – the same place Dejan Kulusevski began his footballing journey.
Both players were under the tutelage of Peter Kisfaludy, who is now the Sports Coordinator at Djurgarden, which is Bergvall’s current club.
The 57-year-old has been speaking about the teenager’s quality and what Tottenham fans can expect to see from him once he makes his move in the summer.
Kisfaludy claimed that Bergvall is faster than Kulusevski and has the potential to become just as good as him. He then added that he’s hoping the 18-year-old can become even better than his older compatriot.
Speaking to , Kisfaludy said: “Dejan is a really, really good player, absolutely but I think Lucas has….well I love Dejan so I can’t say anything bad about him, but I think Lucas is a little faster.
“That’s something he has. Dejan has such good technique even though he’s so big. Dejan is really strong in his mentality, on and off the pitch. He’s always thinking about what he’s going to do in the game.
“Lucas can absolutely be at the same level but hopefully better.”
Bergvall is a really exciting talent
It really is no surprise that Lucas Bergvall was wanted by a number of big clubs, including Barcelona.
Tottenham, however, managed to convince him to snub the Catalans and move to North London, where he’ll work under Ange Postecoglou.
The Spurs boss has already described Bergvall as ‘a very talented young man‘. He also called the teenager an ‘exciting’ talent who was on ‘every big club’s radar‘.
Dejan Kulusevski has been fantastic for Tottenham since he joined them. If Bergvall can reach his level in the coming years, Spurs fans will be delighted.
