Tottenham to bank at least £30m after official announcement made
The latest Tottenham news will give the club another financial boost ahead of the new season.
✃Spurs are currently on a pre-season tour of east Asia, where their popularity has skyrocketed over the last decade thanks to captain Son Heung-min.
It is hard to put a number on Son‘s commercial value to the club – but a visit to the Tottenham 🅘Hotspur Stadium, where thousands of South Koreans flock every season, gives you a clue.

🌄The stadium which opened in 2019 has become a totemic symbol of the rise of Brand Spurs.
Chairman and co-owner Daniel Levy, who recently revealed that a stake in Tottenham is for sale🎐, has hired a team who have worked hard and innovatively to cultivate that brand.
Levy 𒁏says that one of the reasons Spurs have not yet signed a naming rights deal for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is because of the brand benefits of having their own name above the door.
𝕴The stadium is now the go-to venue for stadium concerts in London, as well as non-football events like the NFL, boxing and more.
𓃲These events are a big earner for the club through promotion fees, catering and other benefits, which have helped Spurs reach £228m in annual commercial income.
💮Tottenham have earned a reputation as among the best business operators in world football.
꧒In all but one of the seasons since the new stadium opened, that figure has risen by at least £20m. Its growth was £44m last season.
🃏And that trajectory does not appear likely to slow any time soon.

Spurs strike new stadium deal
♔As well as footballing superstars. the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has welcomed some of the biggest musical acts in the world in recent years.
💟Last summer, Beyonce, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and WizKid all played shows at the 62,850-seater stadium, while this year it has been Travis Scott and Pink.
🍨Now, after that they have received permission from Harringay Council, the number of non-football events Spurs are allowed to host at the stadium per year has risen from 16 to 30.
ꦗThere are provisos relating to events on consecutive days and other conditions, but the deal represents a major victory for Spurs, whose earnings power as hosts has effectively doubled overnight.
♍In the press release, Spurs highlighted that studies have found that the stadium contributes £900m to London’s economy.
𝓡Some estimates found that the three nights of Beyonce’s Renaissance tour were worth £15m altogether to Spurs, with £5m of that being profit.
🥂Even just three more big-name concerts therefore would be worth £30m in revenue to Spurs.
🌊In reality, the true figure with an additional 14 events in total will likely be far higher.
TBR Analysis: Spurs have competition amid new wave of stadium plans
ꦅAt present, Spurs’ matchday income of £118m is behind only Man United’s in the Premier League.
However, North London rivals Arsenal also earn north of £100m and, given that ๊Josh Kroenke has revealed his ambitions to expand the Emirates💮, they will remain hot on Spurs’ tail for some time.
ꦛLiverpool are also expected to join the £100m club next season thanks to the redevelopment of the Main Stand and Anfield Road Stands in recent years.
🎐Even in a dilapidated stadium, Man United are still the biggest matchday earners.
🌞But with plans to build a new 100-seater stadium in the works, their ceiling is astronomically high.

ܫWhat’s more Everton’s Bramley Moore Dock will be financially transformative for the club, while Aston Villa, Leeds United and Newcastle all have plans to up capacity too.
🦩For most clubs, matchday income is dwarfed my media revenue – but clubs are now following Spurs in squeezing every single penny from their physical infrastructure.
