Tottenham tipped to have a lightning fast player coming through who’s very similar to Adama Traore

Tottenham haven’t been all that active in the January transfer window so far, but there has been a couple of new arrivals this month already.

Indeed, Antonin Kinsky arrived at Tottenham as a new goalkeeper earlier this month, and Kinsky has earned praise for his performnaces so far.

Meanwhile, Yang Min-Hyeok has arrived at Tottenham too.

Yang agreed a deal with Spurs in the summer, and the winger arrived officially in north London this month.

Yang is set to join QPR on loan, but there are still high hopes for the South Korean when he returns to Spurs next summer.

Tottenham fans would be forgiven for not knowing much about Yang, but, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Ben Jacobs has shared some insight into what the youngster is like as a player.

What Yang Min-Hyeok is like as a player

Jacobs shared his verdict on what Yang is like as a player.

The journalist reckons that Yang could grow to be a more prolific player than Heung-Min Son claiming that he is a natural finisher.

Meanwhile, Jacobs also said that Yang’s pace and directness is also reminiscent of Adama Traore.

“Regarding Yang, I really like him. He can play on the left and the right. It looks like he’s adept with both feet,” Jacobs said.

“There are some similarities to Son, but it’s a bit of a glib comparison in my view. Because I think, in many ways, and this might sound strange, because Son’s numbers are not bad, but I would back over time Yang to be more prolific. I think he’s a natural finisher.

“He’s lightning quick as well. I’m sure if you line up all the Spurs players and do like a bleep test or whatever they do these days to find out who’s the fittest and who’s the fastest, I think you’d probably find that Yang was very close to the quickest player at the football club. And maybe with the most stamina as well.”

“It’s very train-like almost. I think of sort of Adama, who is a completely different kind of player because he’s actually built like the hulk. But every time I see Adama play, and I know it’s a slightly strange comparison, he just sort of drives in a very obvious way.

“So obvious, you know what he’s going to do, but you can’t stop it. And that’s the thing about Yang. He’s completely different to Adama.

“But when he starts to run, you’ll be like, I know what he’s going to do. I can see this coming. I can understand he’s about to create space.

“So there’s always this like bum on the edge of the seat anticipation, completely different to Adama, but similar in the sense that you’re not ever that like surprised by what he does. You’re just wowed by the execution of it in the manner in which he skips past players and the manner in which he changes direction, the manner in which he moves off the ball, in the manner in which he goes from fast to slow and to fast again. And that wrong-foots defenders and makes them look very silly at times”

“So this is why I think he’s a big talent because all of that, perhaps unlike Adama, does come in my opinion with an end product. And I hope we see that at QPR but I can guarantee you, whether it’s next season or in a few years, Yang is going to be a player that has a lot of goal contributions for Spurs.”

Tottenham’s future attacking options
