Tottenham target Federico Chiesa was compared with Luis Suarez
A surprise report from this week claimed that Antonio Conte dreams of signing Federico Chiesa for Tottenham Hotspur and could look to make a move next summer.
Chiesa’s still making his way back from a long-term injury which has kept him out for most of the year. But there is no question that he is an outstanding player with a huge ceiling.

It appears that a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is unlikely. The report claimed Juventus would only consider letting Chiesa leave if Richarlison or Son Heung-min move in a swap.

Obviously, it is hard to imagine Tottenham having any interest in such a move. But that may not prevent Conte and Fabio Paratici from trying to get a deal done.

And Chiesa would certainly be an exciting signing. In fact, such a deal would have the potential to be another game-changer for Tottenham.
It was only last year that Joe Cole compared the Italy international with one of the most ruthless strikers the Premier League has seen.
“The biggest attribute he’s got is he plays with a humility. He’s hustling and bustling like a young Luis Suarez character. He can make something out of nothing,” he said, as reported by .
“Every club in Europe will want a slice of him when he becomes available.”
Of course, there is a big question mark hanging over the 25-year-old for the time-being. He is still working his way back from 10 months on the sidelines. It remains to be seen whether he can get his career back on track.
Clearly, if he does rediscover his best form, it will be a lot harder to get him out of Juventus. While Son and Richarlison will almost certainly not move in the opposite direction, the reports do highlight just how much Tottenham would have to spend to get a deal done.
Spurs will certainly have been given food for thought if Chiesa manages to draw further comparisons with Suarez before the summer arrives.
