Tottenham target Andreas Skov Olsen slammed for Denmark performance
Tottenham Hotspur target Andreas Skov Olsen has done his chances of securing a big move away no favours following Denmark’s loss to Australia, that the 22-year-old’s performance was not on an international level.
Kasper Hjulmand’s men have provided one of the early shocks of the tournament by finishing bottom of the group. For many, the Euro 2020 semi-finalists were backed to go a long way.

However, they are heading home having not won a single game. And their exit was confirmed by a surprise 1-0 loss to the Socceroos.
Skov Olsen performance slated
Several of Denmark’s key players failed to step up. And one of those who has been criticised is Skov Olsen, with in Denmark handing the 22-year-old a 1/6 rating. They suggested that he was not good enough for the biggest stage against the Aussies.

“The young Dane was back in the team after his minor fouls against France, and after a few minutes he drew a yellow card on his nearest opponents, and he continued the good start for… two minutes,” they wrote.
“Because for the rest of the time he was on the field, before he was taken out, there was no national team level.”
Tottenham left with plenty to ponder
The performance may well catch the eye of Spurs supporters. Reports from last week claimed that Antonio Conte’s men are monitoring the Club Brugge starlet.
Olsen went into the World Cup in brilliant form. He scored eight goals and contributed four assists from the right wing in all competitions.
He is clearly an extremely talented player who will get plenty of opportunities to shine at Denmark at major tournaments.
However, his display on Wednesday perhaps highlights that he may not be quite ready to take that step up. And that may give Fabio Paratici plenty to ponder.
Antonio Conte has not tended to use younger players during his time with Tottenham so far. For the likes of Djed Spence and Pape Matar Sarr, this season has been frustrating.
So seeing someone like Skov Olsen struggle to make an impact when Denmark needed someone to take charge of the game may concern Tottenham as they reportedly weigh up a move.
