Tottenham supporters react as Luis Binks completes move to Serie A side
Luis Binks has completed a permanent move from Thierry Henry’s Montreal Impact to Serie A side Bologna but will be immediately loaned back to Montreal – and Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter.
Binks, 18, made the surprise switch to Henry’s Montreal back in February from Tottenham. It came about after Binks had broken into Tottenham’s Under-23 side on 14 occasions, even scoring against Derby’s reserves.
A one-time England Under-19 international, Binks made the surprise switch to Canada despite reports claiming Jose Mourinho tried to convince the left-footed, teenage centre-back to remain at the north London club.
But it appears Binks’ move to Montreal has paid off. After just eight appearances for the MLS outfit in which Montreal have conceded just 11 goals and kept two clean sheets, he is to leave the club and join Bologna.

Joey Saputo, owner of both Bologna and Montreal, has twinned both clubs to make the MLS side a sister club of Bologna – who finished in 12th place last season. Binks is to remain on loan at Montreal until December 31.
Tottenham supporters were not impressed when Binks left the club for Montreal at the beginning of the year and they are just as frustrated now at hearing that Bologna had completed a move for the English defender.

We could have predicted this… imo we should be setting up a sister club in Germany.. something like Watford /city already do.. allow youth to go develop and become a feeder for the premier league… loans have not worked in the recent years… like where do we send

One negative legacy of Poch's tenure was his handling of youth teamers. If we were more proactive in loaning during his time, Onomah, Skipp, KWP + Edwards would have gone out to loan sooner, developed quicker and possibly been playing for us today. +Binks was left footed too! 😞

I’m still sad we never had Binks and Winks in the same team.
