Tottenham star Kyle Walker-Peters sends message to Jadon Sancho

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker-Peters has delivered his verdict on Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho after the winger shone in the German side’s enthralling win over Hertha Berlin.

In a topsy-turvy game, Salomon Kalou had scored a brace for Hertha but Dortmund came from behind to win 3-2, with Marco Reus scoring the winner in injury time.

With the score at 2-1 to Hertha, Lucien Favre’s Dortmund were tasked with overturning the result in the second 45. They got off to an excellent start, as Sancho’s excellent corner was headed home by Dan-Axel Zagadou.

Sancho then created Dortmund’s winner in injury time, running at Hertha’s defence before slipping an incisive ball into the box for Reus to score. Sancho posted on Instagram after the match, and Walker-Peters replied.

Sancho was linked with a move to Tottenham back in 2017 () before he joined Dortmund from Manchester City for £8million (). Now, Sancho is worth £70million

TBR’s view

Sancho’s breakthrough this season has been nothing short of sensational. Still only 18 years of age, the England international has scored nine goals and created 17 more in just 35 games.

That is an incredible return for a player that was regarded by City as still developing. Yes, he will still be learning and gaining experience, but he would be an unbelievable signing for any Premier League side.

In terms of Spurs, though, Sancho is way out of the north Londoners’ price range. They will be regretting the decision to avoid signing him.
