Tottenham star gets ‘Star Man’ rating from country’s media after Monday display
Joe Rodon helped Wales secure three points away against Estonia – and the country’s media rated the Tottenham ace as his side’s ‘Star Man’.
Wales came into the match desperately in need of a win in Group E, as Rob Page looks to take his country to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next year.
With Estonia and Belarus now out of the running, and Belgium sitting pretty at the top – it is a two-way shootout to finish in second place.
Wales, or Czech Republic. Kieffer Moore’s early goal was enough to beat Estonia in Tallinn – and take Wales level with the Czechs on 11 points.
The difference being, that Wales now have a game in hand. Rodon, 23, was pivotal once again to the win – keeping a clean sheet in his 19th Wales cap.

say he made the most clearances with six, blocking as many shots as anyone else. Wales Online gave him 7/10, and the ‘Star Man’ badge.
“Quickly becoming one of the first names on the team sheet,”
“Bailed out Wilson for a mistake in the first half and marshalled the backline well under increasing pressure in the second period.”
Rodon shines for Wales: Deserves more Tottenham game time…

Unfortunately for the Wales defender, Tottenham have just brought in Cristian Romero for a big fee – and Eric Dier remains a leader in the group.
So, Rodon is going to have to bide his time. But his performances for his country will serve as a reminder to Nuno Espirito Santo what he can do.
He was brilliant on Monday. Having sparkled at Euro 2020 for Wales, Rodon is now a regular in Page’s side with 19 caps. At 23, he is on course to get 100.
Rodon does deserve more game time at Spurs. At least, he will get the odd chance in Europe and the Cups. But could a loan occur in January?
