Tottenham should track midfielder Philip Billing
Tottenham have said an emotional farewell to Mousa Dembele this January, as he’s departed to join Chinese Super League club Guangzhou.
The 31-year-old will leave a huge void in the Spurs midfield and he will be fondly remembered for his six-and-a-half years at the club.
He is a Belgian colossus that was unstoppable on his day and had his own imposing style in the centre of the park.
Dembele has the physicality to shrug off any opponent and provide a defensive platform, but the quality and dribbling on the ball too to glide around the pitch.
Spurs would surely love another central midfielder of his ilk to replace him, but there aren’t many that match his style and it will be tough for Mauricio Pochettino to bring in a like-for-like replacement.

One man that should crop up on the Spurs radar is Philip Billing at Premier League club Huddersfield Town.
The 22-year-old is one of the outstanding talents in a Huddersfield team fighting relegation this season at the bottom of the table and he will surely be snapped up by an elite club if his team suffer the drop.
Spurs should run the rule over him in the next few months, as they could end up finding Dembele 2.0 to add to their midfield.
Billing is a giant central midfielder that has many similarities to Dembele, with his presence on the pitch and also his ability to dribble out of tight spaces.
He’s still an upcoming talent with plenty of room to grow at his age and Pochettino could be the perfect mentor to oversee his rise.
The Danish powerhouse has proven he can hold his own in the top flight and he may deserve a crack at the big time.
