Tottenham should ramp up interest in midfielder Lewis Cook

Tottenham are reportedly keeping an eye on Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook ahead of the January transfer window and could up their interest in him.

, Spurs are eyeing the 21-year-old and he could become a target for the New Year.

But manager Mauricio Pochettino should insist on a raid for the one-time capped England international, as he could do with some reinforcements in the centre of the park.

The North London club should not hang around in January and try to snap up Cook’s signature.

He is a technically gifted central midfielder that has a brilliant range of passing and an immense potential that could be exploited by Pochettino.

Cook, who earns £30,000-a-week (), could certainly help fill a void in the Spurs squad and compete for a position in the midfield.

He could thrive from a move to a top-six club and that jump up in class is likely to bring the best out of him, while he’s used to a possession-based game under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth.
