Tottenham should monitor Premier League defender who has wowed after 8 games
Tottenham Hotspur need to be thinking about life after Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, with the Belgian duo both out of contract at the end of the season.
Spurs stand to lose both defenders for nothing next summer and there appears to be no movement in terms of extensions.

Alderweireld is considered by many as likelier to leave than Vertonghen, but there’s a reasonable chance the north Londoners will be without both going into the 2020/21 season.
Perhaps that won’t be so bad, so long as they are replaced adequately – and one way of doing that could be to bring in Leicester City star Caglar Soyuncu.
TBR’s view
Soyuncu, who was actually signed by the Foxes for £19 million in the summer of 2018 from Freiburg (), has been a breath of fresh air at the King Power, when the club could quite easily have suffered from the sale of Harry Maguire to Manchester United.

The Turkey international has been a rock for Brendan Rodgers’ side, showing good physical prowess and excellent ability on the ball.
, he has caught the attention of Premier League champions Manchester City, but Spurs should be starting to monitor the ball-playing star now given the situations with Alderweireld and Vertonghen.
Provided he continues in the same fashion, 23-year-old Soyuncu could be a brilliant acquistion for the long-term.
