Tottenham should keep a close eye on Joachim Andersen tonight
Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs chasing Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen, according to reports.
, Spurs are competing with Arsenal and Manchester United for the defender, who is rated at £25m.
Although that might seem like a steep price for a relatively unproven player, Andersen is considered to be one of the most promising young centre-backs across Europe.
Having moved from FC Twente to Sampdoria, the towering 6ft 4in defender is now starring in central defence in Serie A.
Each week, he comes across some of the best forwards that Europe can offer but his physicality has prepared him well for the challenges he faces.

But tonight, he faces a different task. And this one might be a better indicator of how he’ll do in England.
Denmark under-21s face England’s under-21 side tonight and Andersen will be up against some good players.
In Aston Villa’s Tammy Abraham, he will be required to show his physicality and aerial dominance.
Up against the likes of Dominic Solanke, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman, the 22-year-old will need to demonstrate his ability to cope with quick and nippy players.
Spurs should keep a close eye on how Andersen does tonight; it might just persuade them or dissuade them from pursuing this £25m deal.
