Tottenham should consider resting Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld
Tottenham picked up a vital victory over Brighton on Tuesday night in the Premier League and it gave them a significant boost in their pursuit of a top four finish.
Spurs currently sit third in the league table and are three points ahead of Chelsea, while fifth-placed Arsenal are four points adrift having played a game less.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side now look in a great position to get over the line for the top four and have three league games to get the job done.
Spurs host West Ham on Saturday in their next match and manager Pochettino should perhaps consider a couple of rotations.
They will be looking to keep up their 100 per cent record at their new stadium and three more points will take them closer to their goal, but the Champions League is just around the corner.
The North London club face Ajax in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals next Tuesday and it’s a colossal chance to reach a European final.

Spurs need their best players to perform against Ajax and are already without suspended Heung-Min Son for the first leg.
Amid a hectic run of fixtures, Pochettino should consider dropping key pair Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen against West Ham.
Spurs will need mammoth centre-back Alderweireld at his brilliant best against a potent Ajax attack, which is why either Juan Foyth or Davinson Sanchez should be able to fill his shoes against West Ham and give him a rest.
Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Eriksen is inspired form right now and scored the winner against Brighton.
He should be kept in bubblewrap ahead of the Ajax showdown and perhaps needs a rest more than most, as he’s an ever-present in the team.
There would be an element of risk leaving out two key players in a London derby, but the manager also needs to weight up how big an occasion the Champions League semi-finals are.
