Tottenham should consider a move for Fulham attacker Andre Schurrle in the summer
Tottenham are reportedly interested in a potential switch for Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic in the summer.
, Spurs have considered the 24-year-old as a possible target ahead of next year to be the understudy to Harry Kane.
But the report also details that there is a doubt over whether the Serbia international would want to arrive knowing he wouldn’t be a regular starter.
With Spurs perhaps hesitant over Mitrovic, they should plot a move for his Fulham teammate Andre Schurrle.
Mitrovic has managed 10 goals in a struggling team this campaign, but Schurrle’s return of six in just 23 games highlights his quality too.
Fulham look destined for relegation to the Championship unless they pull of a remarkable survival under Scott Parker and snapping up their best players would make sense.
Schurrle is a proven attacker that could be a great fit for Spurs and offer some more depth to their squad for next year.
He is currently in the first of a two-year loan deal at Craven Cottage from Borussia Dortmund, but it’s unlikely he’d want to stay if Fulham were relegated ().
Mauricio Pochettino’s side should consider offering the German a chance to stay in England if Fulham go down and know what they would be getting.
Schurrle is a versatile attacker that can play on the wing or at centre-forward and previously showed his qualities at a big club in English football at Chelsea.
He can be a clinical finisher on his day that would benefit from playing with better players and has a decent work-rate too.
