Tottenham round-up: Walker deal stalls; midfielder sets sights on return; surprising kit leak
Manchester City’s efforts to sign Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker continue to be slowed down by Spurs’ evaluation of the player, according to the .
Placing a £50 million price-tag on Walker’s head has already stalled City enough that they averted their attentions to bringing Dani Alves in from Juventus. However, the Telegraph’s latest report states that it is not a case of getting one player or the other.
Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy has no reason to buckle in negotiations, considering the four-years remaining on the Englishman’s contract and the deep pockets of City’s owners, who have shown their vast spending power already this summer.

It is no secret that Walker fell out of favour towards the end of last season, with Kieran Trippier increasingly preferred in his position, including for some key fixtures. A move would arguably suit all parties, and it appears to be a matter of when, rather than if, a deal is made.
Away from transfer talk, and recent negative news, as reported by , regarding the injury setbacks for Erik Lamela and Danny Rose, Spurs’ fans have the return of Harry Winks to look forward to.
The 21-year-old had a breakthrough season in 16/17, scoring on his first Premier League start before suffering ankle ligament damage on April 1st.
Speaking to the , Winks has stated his intentions of putting in extra work to make it back for the new season, claiming that he has a ‘pre-season before a pre-season’ ahead of him.

The midfielder’s determination to make a quicker return will please Tottenham fans, who have become used to the sight of young talent getting opportunities at White Hart Lane.
In other Spurs related news, images have surfaced online claiming to show next season’s new kits. The strips have not yet been officially launched in the UK, but a photograph taken in the US has Nike branded Tottenham and Chelsea kits side by side, which can be seen below.
The new Chelsea & Spurs kits are already on sale abroad…
Really not sure about that Spurs crest!

The has reported on the image, although they have been unable to verify its authenticity. In terms of colour choice, there is no major shock with the Tottenham kits. A traditional white home shirt is seen alongside a navy away strip. However, both look rather plain and feature a questionable shield around the famous club badge.
