Tottenham reportedly enquire for Boateng and Vestergaard ahead of defensive summer rebuild
Tottenham have reportedly made enquires for both Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng as well as Southampton centre-back Jannik Vestergaard.
, Spurs are prioritising the centre-back position of the squad this summer, with outgoings likely to occur in the transfer window, and Boateng, who is out of contract at the end of this season, and Vestergaard, who was a target for ex-manager Jose Mourinho, are just two of the options Tottenham have looked at heading into the market.

that Davinson Sanchez could leave Spurs this summer, with Ajax a potential destination for the Colombian international, and with Tottenham being leaky at the back this season, with the north London side conceding more goals in the Premier League than the likes of Arsenal and just one more than Brighton, centre-back reinforcements appear to be on the cards.
Boateng, who is a two-time UEFA Champions League winner with Bayern, will likely be at the centre of plenty of interest this summer, with the former Germany international likely to be courted by many clubs for his services given his quality and experience for one of the best club sides in European football, whilst Spursprevious reported interested in Vestergaard could make him a realistic signing.

TBR View: Spurs will do well to pull off double centre-back signing
It has been a weird season for Tottenham, yet there is no denying that their defence can do with some improvements over the summer, and the signings of both Boateng and Vestergaard would be positive steps in the right direction for the club.
In Boateng, they could acquire one of the most decorated centre-backs over the past ten years who will bring leadership and maturity to the defence, whilst Vestergaard’s Premier League experience will be a welcome addition with the likes of Joe Rodon still learning the game at the top level.
