Tottenham reported target Raul Jimenez looks an ideal match for Jose Mourinho
Tottenham reportedly have an interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez, which would be an extremely positive signing if they could pull it off.
reports that both Spurs and their North London rivals Arsenal are keen on a potential move for the 28-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window
It’s unclear on how much it would take to prize him away from Molineux, but there is no doubt he’s one of the standout individuals for Wolves and has helped them become a top side in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side play an attractive style of football that has seen them reach the Europa League last 16 this season, as well as help them sit sixth in the Premier League table.
Jimenez is in the individual that spearheads the Wolves attack so effectively and brings all their good work together.
The Mexico international is such a difficult player for defenders to pin down, as he’s got the pace and running power to go behind them, but on the flip side he’s strong in the air and a physical presence too that can mix it up if needed.
He has also been extremely consistent in front of goal this season, with 22 goals and 10 assists in 43 matches across all competitions so far.

Spurs desperately need a rebuild going into next season and the rest of this campaign is based around them trying to secure European football for next year, after recently being eliminated from both the FA Cup and Champions League.
It’s clear they need another striker to compete with Harry Kane, who has been sidelined through injury since January and often when he is fit is so relied upon.
Jimenez looks like the perfect target for Spurs in the summer and they should do all they can to bring him to North London.
He is exactly the type of centre-forward that has historically done so well under current Spurs boss Jose Mourinho and his style is in the mould of players like Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who were all immense under Mourinho as big target men.
Jimenez has some way left to go to match the achievements of those star names, but he’s got the same bullish approach and aggression in attack.
The Wolves frontman looks like the type of striker Mourinho would be desperate for right now and perhaps a possible combination could take the striker’s game to the next level, as he’s a great finisher and has a perfect work ethic.
