Tottenham receive transfer boost as Saudi club have just entered race to sign their £26m player

Tottenham Hotspur may have just received a transfer boost as they bid to offload a host of first-team players this summer.

Spurs have already ওmade admirable progress on that front, having offloaded Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic on free transfers last ⛦month.

Joe Rodon followed the quintet out the door last week as he completed a switch to Leeds United, with Archie Gray heading to Spurs for .

However, there remains plenty at Spurs facing uncertain futures as Ange Postecoglou goes about building a side in his image.

Emerson Royal certainly falls into that camp and has been heavily linked with a switch to AC Milan in recent weeks. The Serie A giants are hoping to tie up a ꦑdeal for Royal this week as they remain locked in talks with Tottenham

But Milan could now face added competition for the full-back’s signature and accord🙈ing to journalist Ben Jacobs, it may help Spurs drive up his price tag.

Royal may snub Saudi move

Despite interest from Al-Nassr, Royal seems to have his heart set on a move to the San Siro. The defender has spoken openly about the interest from the Serie A giants, admitting his pride at Milan’s interest

“Yes, I know Milan asked Spurs about me. I’m proud of that, Milan is an important club. Let’s see๊ what happens with Milan, I’m just happy to know that they are showiꦬng interest in me,” he said.

While🥂 the 25-year-old is likely to prefer a move to Milan over a switch to the Middle East, this can only be positive news for Spurs.

With another side interested in signing Royal, it should allow Tot𝓀tenඣham to convince Milan to step up their bid for the Brazilian.

The Serie giants’ latest offer is thought to be worth around £13 million, with the Lilywhite holding out for £17 million.
