Tottenham predicted XI vs Vitesse Arnhem

Bergwijn confirmed as Tottenham set to make glut of changes.

Tottenham travel to face Vitesse in Arnhem in their third game of the Conference League group stage.

However, if Tottenham fans want to see some of the players that turned out for them on Sunday, they’ll be disappointed.

That’s because Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed in his press conference that none of the ten outfielders would be travelling.

That means that there will be many changes, including the returning Steven Bergwijn, who Nuno has confirmed will be starting.

That has left us with ten other positions to pick as we try and scramble together a prediction for what Nuno will do.

This is what we’ve managed to come up with:

Bergwijn confirmed as Tottenham set to make glut of changes

In goal, the usual cup goalkeeper will be Pierluigi Gollini.

That’s not as much of a shock but in defence there are a few decisions to make.

Right-back should see Japhet Tanganga return to the side.

Then in central defence a pairing of Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez, neither of whom played on Sunday should start together.

Left-back is tough, as both Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies are options.

We’ve gone for Davies, though, who offers more defensively.

In the pivot, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso partner each other.

This is a chance for Lo Celso to show what he can do having missed out on Sunday after only returning from international duty on the Friday.

The front four is exciting, though.

Bergwijn’s return will provide plenty of direct running at the Vitesse goal.

So will the start of Bryan Gil on the left flank.

Then, centrally, Dele Alli will start behind the starlet Dane Scarlett.

This will be an exciting game for the Lilywhites with a maverick lineup.

However, Nuno has to get a win to justify his glut of changes.
