Tottenham predicted XI against Liverpool in Carabao Cup semi-final after Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel signings

After the dust settles from Tottenham Hotspurs’ exploits on deadline day, the club will be quickly turning their attention to the second-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final with Liverpool.

In the space of four days, Tottenham💧 will face Liverpool and then Aston Villa in the FA Cup, two incredibly important ties for Ange Postecoglou’s project.

After a good win against Brentford and the signings of Kevin Danso and Mathys Telඣ, it’s almost been overshadowed that Postecoglou is fighting for his job.

Previously it was reported that ♈Postecoglou’s future could hinge on getting past Liverpool๊, a situation that may have been calmed by an impressive clean sheet away to Brentford.

🌠That being said, Spurs do have two exciting new options for that tie, and Postecoglou suddenly has the luxury of some choice.

Mathys Tel could make his Tottenham debut at Anfield

🐼In goal, Antonin Kinsky will continue unless Guglielmo Vicario is ready for a surprise return, an injury update that the Spurs manager will provide in due course.

Djed Spence was brilliant🏅 against Brentford, cementing his place for Anfield.

♍And otherwise, it seems as if Postecoglou’s only decision will be whether to start Danso ahead of Archie Gray at right centre-back.

𓆏Gray is playing out position but is doing incredibly well, and it would be a tough first test for Danso in Spurs colours.

🎃Otherwise, it would seem wise for Postecoglou to stick with a relatively flat midfield three as he did against Liverpool in the first leg – with Pape Matar Sarr perhaps a candidate to replace Yves Bissouma.

🐭And in attack, Postecoglou might actually immediately succumb to the temptation to start his new #11 Tel in place of Richarlison, another tough call.

💫Both Danso and Tel should be available for the game, the duo appeared to arrive in time and were fit for RC Lens and Bayern Munich respectively before joining.

Of course, Radu Dragusin is injured𓃲 and won’t play for Spurs again this season, another bitter blow for a club riddled with fitness issues.

Micky van de Ven will be assessed🔯 before what is arguably Spurs’ biggest game of the season thus far.

♊Postecoglou recently confirmed that Vicario, Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie, Wilson Odobert and Timo Werner were all getting closer, but fans will need to wait for a fresh update from the Spurs manager.

♔A huge tie for the club, followed by a second chance game on Sunday if things don’t go to plan at Anfield.
