Report: Tottenham have already decided what’s next for ‘phenomenal’ academy talent next season
Tottenham fans and the club itself are excited about the prospect of seeing Alfie Devine in action in the coming seasons and according to , that could be sooner than people might think.
reports how Spurs see Devine not only as an exciting talent for the future, but also as being part of the first-team squad for next season.
Devine, who is still just 17, scored a fine goal against Arsenal last night for the under-23s and has continued to impress behind the scenes. Indeed, he’s believed to already be on Antonio Conte’s radar, along with fellow youngster, Dane Scarlett. Indeed, former manager Jose Mourinho Devine had the potential to be ‘phenomenal’.
It’s believed Spurs want to include Devine as part of their squad to help hit their homegrown quota. However, should he continue to impress, then there is every chance Conte will turn to the teenager if needed.

Devine looks very much like being a player who can make the grade at Premier League level. Of course, he is just 17 so will need to be nurtured as well. But the talent is there, and there’s every chance he really pushes on.
Impressing Conte is the first hurdle and he seems to have done that. And while a loan move might help him next term, staying around Conte and this Spurs squad will do him no harm.
