Tottenham now receive approach for their £4m player, he’s wanted in January

Ahead of a busy January transfer window for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur, they may have just received some good news.

That’s a lot on the agenda for Daniel Levy at the turn of the year, players need to arrive and players will leave.

And with Postecoglou thought to want to bring in a central defender, a midfielder and a forward in the window, work will have to begin swiftly.

That being said, Tottenham have now received an approach for a player they are potentially looking to offload in January.

Eric Dier is playing a role unrecognisable to that of recent years, a defender who simply doesn’t fit Postecoglou’s style.

And although many thought Dier would stay until the expiration of his contract in the summer, Turkish side Fenerbahce are now hopeful of a January deal.

According to , Fenerbahce have made their approach to Spurs and a board member recently travelled to London to hold talks.

Moreover, the club don’t want to wait until the summer and would like to recruit Dier during the winter window.

And with squad progression in mind, this could be an important turn of events for Postecoglou’s Tottenham in January.

As things start to heat up ahead of the window, it also seems as if Tottenham may also be making progress on incoming players.

Jean-Clair Todibo is a centre-back considered to be one of Postecoglou’s priority signings for Tottenham in January.

The French defender is performing exceptionally well in Ligue 1 this season and is considered well suited to ‘Ange Ball’.

And perhaps most importantly, the defender is now said to be very keen on a January move.

It’s a notoriously difficult window to navigate, and having players invested in Tottenham’s project will be crucial.

As well as a potential move for Todibo, Postecoglou may also look to reunite with one £25m player in January.

There’s clearly a ton of exciting options for Spurs, but they will need to carefully manage a lot of moving pieces.
