Tottenham now planning summer move for 22-year-old top-four rival sold for £15m
Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring one Everton star as they consider a potential move in the summer transfer window.
It has been a promising first season for Ange Postecoglou in North London. They led the way in the early stages of the Premier League season. And they are still in the mix for the top-four and a spot in next year’s Champions League.
However, their recent form is perhaps a reminder that they remain a work in progress. And thus, the club’s fans will be hoping that they strengthen further in the summer.
Tottenham monitoring James Garner
Tottenham are interested in Conor Gallagher, with the Chelsea midfielder now into the final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

But there is another midfielder on their radar. According to , Spurs are now monitoring James Garner.
Everton signed the 22-year-old from Manchester United for £15 million. And he has barely missed a minute in the Premier League in recent months. He has played all over the midfield, including out wide on the right in the early stages of the campaign.
Spurs may sense an opportunity
Much may depend on whether Everton manage to keep themselves in the division. The Toffees appear to be in the relegation mix after being handed a 10 point deduction earlier this term.
But you would imagine that Everton may be open to considering all serious offers which come in for their players in the summer. And thus, Tottenham may feel that they have a chance of securing Garner’s signature.
Sean Dyche suggested that Garner has been ‘‘ for Everton. But it was arguably his time at Nottingham Forest which saw the youngster showcase his potential, as he was directly involved in 18 goals in 69 games as he helped the club secure promotion out of the Championship.
Perhaps a reunion with Brennan Johnson, and perhaps even Djed Spence, could be on the cards this summer.
