Tottenham now in talks with ‘world class’ manager who once inflicted 7-2 defeat on Spurs, he wants Premier League job
Tottenham already seem to be moving on from Ange Postecoglou.
Despite the fact the Australian could still guide Spurs to UEFA Europa League glory, the decision already appears to have been made by Daniel Levy, with Tottenham sitting 16th in the Premier League.
Hypothetically, in another season, where the bottom three were of greater quality, the north Londoners could have genuinely been in a relegation battle, which would have been a catastrophic development and has seemingly shaken Levy enough to make a change.

Now – according to in Germany – Tottenham have opened talks with Niko Kovac as the hunt to replace Ange Postecoglou continues.
Tottenham approach Niko Kovac
The German news outlet believe Spurs have now asked about the German, who is not exactly tied to Borussia Dortmund in the strongest manner.
Back in January, the Bundesliga side hired Kovac as a replacement for Nuri Sahin, although his arrival was viewed to be more of an interim one than a long-term appointment.
BILD explain how the man from Berlin is only contracted to Borussia Dortmund for the 2025/26 campaign before the deal expires, and those at the Signal Iduna Park even agreed terms of a potential sacking – hardly the greatest sign of optimism – which entitles the former Croatia boss to around £2m should he be dismissed before June 2026.

The story adds that Tottenham view Kovac – who has been called “world class” – as a manager with a ‘passionate, intense, and aggressive playing philosophy’ who could succeed in the Premier League.
Interestingly, BILD also state that the 53-year-old himself is eager to manage in the Premier League one day, so an offer from Spurs could well prove tempting.
Niko Kovac previously hammered Tottenham
Kovac, who once praised Harry Kane, was given the honour of managing Bayern Munich in April 2018 after impressing with Croatia and Eintracht Frankfurt, signing a three-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
However, the Tottenham target only lasted until November 2019, where he was dismissed following a 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt, but there was still enough time to record the second-largest European victory in the history of Bayern Munich, which incidentally came against Spurs.
Some fans may recall Bayern Munich running riot in north London back in October 2019, as the German giants recorded a 7-2 win over Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League group phase.

Serge Gnabry scored four of the seven goals, and Pochettino was sacked just a month later in November 2019.
Now, in a strange turn of events, the man who partly caused the Argentine to be sacked could well end up replacing Postecoglou at Tottenham, after talks began.
