Tottenham must step up Ben Chilwell interest amid Danny Rose struggles
While Tottenham Hotspur looked much more like their old selves on Tuesday night in the Champions League, Mauricio Pochettino will not be getting carried away off the back of the 5-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade.
It looks as though big changes are needed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The form of some of the players who had been stalwarts has been alarming. And it appears that Pochettino is going to need to conduct an overhaul of his squad in the coming months.

It does however, seem that Pochettino is preparing for that overhaul. that Spurs are one of the teams interested in Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell.
It is not going to be easy to land the £50 million-rated left-back. The Daily Star reports that Manchester United and Chelsea also want the England international, and the Foxes hope to agree a contract extension.

But given Danny Rose’s form this season, it has arguably become imperative that Tottenham do all they can to make sure that they are the ones to sign Chilwell.
Time to replace Rose?
Rose was outstanding during the second-half of last season. It appeared that the 29-year-old was back to his best as Spurs reached the Champions League final.
Unfortunately, Rose has been one of the defenders to really struggle this year. His performance against Watford at the weekend was slammed by the supporters. And Pochettino would be forgiven for wondering whether he will be able to recapture that previous form again.
Chilwell continues to impress with Leicester. The 22-year-old has the potential to hold down the left-back spot for his club and England for a number of years.
His value is only going to increase. So perhaps Rose’s form should act as the catalyst that sees Tottenham make signing Chilwell one of their top priorities.
