Tottenham must ignore Besiktas ace and instead sign promising Dane
Tottenham Hotspur are supposedly interested in signing Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida this summer.
The Croatia international, who featured in last summer’s World Cup final in Russia, is an alternative target for Mauricio Pochettino this summer .

He has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and West Ham United all credited with interest.
Vida has been a mainstay for Besiktas this term, making 32 appearances so far in all competitions.
He has only been with Besiktas since January 2018, but since his showing at the World Cup speculation has been rife that he will only complete a short stint with the club.
TBR’s view
While Vida has proven himself to be a decent defender on the biggest stage, he is not the man Pochettino should be going after this summer.
Vida will turn 30 at the end of the month, meaning he will only probably have a maximum of a few years at the club.

Considering Toby Alderweireld is likely to leave the club this summer for the ÂŁ25 million value of his release clause, Tottenham need somebody with room to develop into a new version of the Belgian.
Vida, although solid, isn’t that player but Joachim Andersen is.
The Sampdoria defender is much younger than Vida at 22 and is already something of a ball-playing defender- the kind admired by Pochettino.
Gazzetta dello Sport () recently claimed Spurs had scouted Andersen, and he should be the top priority.
