Worrying Yves Bissouma fitness update ahead of Tottenham clash with Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to take on Arsenal in a high-stakes North London derby this weekend.

Both Spurs and the Gunners failed to win their respective Premier League games before the international break.

Tottenham lost to Newcastle United despite dominating proceedings, while Arsenal could only draw with Brighton in a controversial encounter.

In addition, both Spurs and the Gunners have personnel problems ahead of the fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arsenal’s issues have been widely documented as they are without Mikel Merino, Declan Rice and potentially Martin Odegaard.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are likely to be without Richarlison, while Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke didn’t play in their last game.

However, Spurs will now be sweating over the fitness of another player, according to Ben Dinnery.

Bissouma has had difficult start to the season

Bissouma has had a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign and he’ll be desperate not to miss out against Arsenal.

The 27-year-old missed out on Tottenham’s first game of the season as he was suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons.

Bissouma then returned against Everton and scored a superb goal to set his side on their way to an emphatic win.

However, he flattered to deceive against Newcastle, and now he faces the risk of missing out on a huge game against Spurs’ bitter rivals.

Bissouma is an ‘unbelievable’ player – in – so fingers crossed he can play a part against Arsenal.
