Tottenham make transfer decision on Southampton winger Tyler Dibling as deadline day continues
Tottenham Hotspur have been interested in a move to sign Southampton star Tyler Dibling for many weeks now.
Spurs are among the more active clubs on transfer deadline day. Ange Postecoglou is looking for reinforcements in defence and attack, but he is running out of time.
The transfer window shuts at 11 pm on Monday night, and despite links to several players, the North Londoners have not been able to agree any deal yet.
Now, there’s more frustrating news for Tottenham fans.
Tottenham cool interest in Southampton star Tyler Dibling
Dibling has been one of the most impressive young players in the Premier League this season.
The ‘‘ 18-year-old has only scored four goals and provided two assists, but his performances have caught the eye of many big clubs.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Saints winger. Reports have claimed that Daniel Levy is personally pushing to sign Dibling.
TBR Football exclusively revealed over the weekend that after Mathys Tel snubbed Postecoglou, Spurs made a fresh approach to sign Dibling and a few others.
Now, the have revealed that a deal will not happen in this window.
The report claims that Spurs were ‘put off by the Saints’ demands of an astronomical fee, well in excess of their reported £55 million asking price’.
So, Tottenham have cooled their interest in Dibling, but they could revisit their interest in the summer, especially if Southampton get relegated.

Tottenham have considered moves for two other attackers on deadline day
Tottenham could do with at least another forward before the end of the transfer window.
The North Londoners are currently without Dominic Solanke, Wilson Odobert, Timo Werner, James Maddison and Brennan Johnson in attack due to injuries.
Richarlison is available, but his injury record makes him a difficult player to rely on.
A new attacker could help make a difference in the remaining months of the season, and the report has claimed that AC Milan’s Noah Okafor and Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey have been considered by Tottenham.
However, it has been revealed that Spurs are not actively pursuing a move for either player now ahead of Monday’s 11 pm deadline.
