Tottenham linked with Liverpool star last summer, now he could be available
Liverpool are reportedly willing to offload attacker Xherdan Shaqiri this summer despite impressing during the first half of the 2018-19 campaign – and it may alert a rival Premier League club.
The 27-year-old has had a hand in six goals this season, as well as laying on five assists. Though he looked somewhat rusty against Barcelona last week, he did provide the assist for Gini Wijnaldum’s header.
However, that the 80-time Switzerland international could be sold by Liverpool just 12 months after Jurgen Klopp opted to lure the former Bayern Munich ace to Anfield from Stoke City for £13million ().
It remains to be seen who comes forward for Shaqiri’s signature, but surely Tottenham Hotspur have to give Shaqiri a chance to shine in north London after being linked with a move before he joined Liverpool.

that Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino were interested in Shaqiri, who was always going to join a new club before the start of the 2018-19 season after Stoke had been relegated.
Spurs chose not to bring in any new players and opted to do the same in January. But this summer, the belief is that chairman Daniel Levy is desperate to bring in fresh blood – and Shaqiri should be one of those shortlisted.
Tottenham need attacking reinforcements. The substitutes bench against Ajax was so threadbare that it only contained defenders. All Pochettino could do, was change his full-backs by bringing on Ben Davies and Juan Foyth.
A couple of wingers and a new striker are needed, and starting with the signing of Shaqiri, Tottenham are off to a flyer. Proven in the Premier League, Shaqiri has scored 21 goals and created 18 more in 108 games.
Depending on the price, Shaqiri would be a top signing for Spurs.
