Tottenham linked with £225k-a-week player that Van de Vaart called the ‘best player in the world’ in 2019
Tottenham are being linked with Real Madrid player Isco, who previously received outrageous praise from Rafael Van de Vaart.
Isco, 29, has been with Spanish giants Madrid since 2013 and had some great success. For instance, he’s produced 51 goals and 56 assists in 336 appearances. Also, he’s won 16 pieces of silverware during that time.
However, it must be pointed out he’s fallen out of favour and massively struggled for form in the past couple of seasons.
, Spurs, Arsenal and AC Milan are all monitoring Isco’s situation at the Bernabeu this summer.
It is understood they’ll soon learn out his future because he’s due for talks with new Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti. The report says it could cost just £6million plus extras to sign him if he’s made available.
attacking midfielder Isco previously earned colossal applause from ex-Spurs favourite Van der Vaart. His comments seemed far too dramatic at the time, but it’s clear he’s a fan.
“It’s crazy for me, he is the best player in the world. But, he always has problems with coaches and even [Zinedine] Zidane never trusted him 100 percent. When I go to watch Madrid I’ll see if he starts and if not, I’m going home,” Van de Vaart told in January 2019.

Isco worth a punt at £6m for Tottenham
It’s unclear on what kind of wages Isco would demand, but Spurs should be all over Isco for £6million if he’s available to sign.
There was definitely a time the creative playmaker was in the discussion for the best number 10 in the world. However, best player in the world shouts is madness.
He’s some years past his peak right now, but at his age perhaps he can still enjoy a renaissance with a chance of scenery.
