Tottenham latest transfer move could stop West Ham from signing ‘devastating’ player

Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Radu Dragusin could reportedly prevent West Ham United from signing his Genoa teammate Albert Gudmundsson.

Ange Postecoglou looks set to snap up his first-choice centre-back target imminently after Tottenham appear to have beaten Bayern Munich to signing Radu Dragusin.

Spurs upped their offer to land the 21-year-old over the Bundesliga giants and it could have an impact on West Ham’s interest in his teammate.

Indeed, Gianluca Di Marzio has already reported that West Ham have made an official move to sign Albert Gudmundsson

The journalist noted that Genoa have instantly rebuffed the Hammers’ approach for the winger.

Now, claims that the Serie A outfit will be reluctant to sell the winger after cashing in on Dragusin.

Tottenham move for Dragusin could scupper West Ham’s Gudmundsson plans

The outlet reports that Gudmundsson is a player who has been on West Ham’s radar in recent weeks.

The Hammers are yet to formalise their interest with an official bid for the winger.

But it’s noted that Genoa are unlikely to entertain a sale after offloading Dragusin to Tottenham.

Gudmundsson has been in fine form for Genoa this term, registering 13 goal involvements in 19 Serie A appearances.

The Icelandic international has even attracted admiring glances from Spurs and has been labelled a ‘’ winger.

But it looks as if Gudmundsson won’t be on the move anytime soon should Dragusin’s switch to Spurs go ahead as planned.

David Moyes will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his forward options this month, with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta set for a spell on the sidelines.

Yet, they may have to look elsewhere when it comes to their interest in Gudmundsson. Genoa are set to receive a £27 million fee for the Romanian from Tottenham, meaning they are in a position where they could dig their heels in over Gudmundsson.
