That is according to Monterrey’s star playmaker Maximilliano Meza. Despite no official deal being done, the midfielder has commented on Janssen’s imminent arrival. the 26-year-old Argentina international is very happy that Janssen is on his way to join Rayados.

“Whenever a player comes to collaborate, who can help us, he will be welcome.

“So he will meet an incredible group. A group of good people, a very competitive team.

“So I think he will feel comfortable and hopefully he can help us with whatever he wants most.”

Janssen arrived at Tottenham with plenty of promise. , Tottenham Hotspur spent £18.6 million to bring Janssen to the club from AZ Alkmaar in 2016.

It came amid a hot streak from the player who had notched 32 goals in one season and was the starting striker for the Netherlands.

But he failed to replicate such form at Tottenham. His lack of pace was a major issue and injuries soon compounded his misery.

However, it seems the players at Monterrey are ready to welcome Janssen with open arms. Hopefully, he can find some joy at the Estadio BBVA.
