Tottenham Hotspur linked with Luka Jovic, nine goals in 10 games highlights why
This weekend saw a report linking both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur with the Benfica forward Luka Jovic. that the two London clubs both have him in their sights as a potential new signing.
Nobody would blame them. Jovic, currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from parent club Benfica, is in inspired form. At the weekend he scored five goals in one game as his side defeated Fortuna Dusseldorf 7-1. It took his tally for the season to nine goals in 10 games and seven in his last three Bundesliga outings. After starting the season on the bench, the Serbian is now on fire.
This is not the first time Tottenham have been linked with the player. In 2015, Tottenham were being linked with a move for the then 17-year-old, who was playing for Red Star Belgrade. The likes of Arsenal, Ajax and Benfica were also mentioned in the report, with the Portuguese side eventually snapping him up.

Now 20-years-old he is finally living up to his early promise during his best spell of first-team football yet.
Any team wanting to buy Jovic will no doubt face a fight. Benfica are likely to want him back now but, , Frankfurt have a buying option at the end of his two-year loan spell next summer.
Tottenham, who are still hunting for the elusive Harry Kane back-up they require, should certainly be in the fight as well.
