Tottenham Hotspur fans react to Carlos Vinicius performance in LASK win
Tottenham Hotspur got their Europa League campaign off to a great start this evening, defeating Austrian side LASK Linz 3-0. It was a well-executed performance from Spurs with goals from Lucas Moura, an Andres Andrade own goal, and Heung-min Son secured all three points for Spurs in a game with plenty for Tottenham fans to be happy about.
Tottenham fans also got to see Gareth Bale from the start in a Spurs shirt yet again but it was another new recruit who seemed to steal the show in attack from the Welshman.
Carlos Vinicius was brought in by Spurs this summer just as much for his ability to set up goals as well as score them. The Brazilian provided 13 assists for Benfica last season and he has already started his tally for Spurs after this evening.
Vinicius set up two of Tottenham’s goals in an impressive outing which had some Spurs fans purring on Twitter.

First, he slid a perfectly placed left-foot pass into the path of countryman Lucas Moura to get the ball rolling for Spurs. Then, he cushioned a header down for Son to calmly slot home and pot a cherry on the top of this display.
Tottenham fans have plenty to be excited about with this clearly able potential alternative to Harry Kane in attack.
There is plenty of room for him to grow, especially when it comes to staying onside, but this was a display for Tottenham fans to get behind.
I think people are underestimating how strong Vinicius is, he’s literally pushing centre backs of the ball with ease man

The more you see it, that Carlos Vinicius touch and pass is sublime. What a great signing he’s going to be for us

Great first half. Hojbjerg bossing the midfield. Davies looking good at the back. Vinicius has the sauce. Glad to see we’re winning comfortably without Son and Kane

Say it quietly, but Carlos Vinicius is actually a good football player🤣

Vinicius getting in the right spaces. Delivery to him as been a little bit too slow still.

If you want to be a striker for the mighty Tottenham Hotspur, you better be one hell of a passer.

Vinicius’ hold up play is everything Vincent Janssen’s wasn’t.
