Tottenham Hotspur fans react as reported transfer option Ivan Perisic shines in 8-2 win

Bayern Munich are into the semi-finals of the Champions League after thumping Barcelona 8-2 in an extraordinary night in Lisbon. 

The Germans dominated throughout as they punished a slack Bayern in savage fashion. 

One of the scorers and top performers on the night was Ivan Perisic, which caught the attention of some Tottenham Hotspur fans. 

Tottenham have recently been linked with a move for the Croatian winger. 

Last month it was that Perisic is a potential target for Spurs with Bayern unlikely to sign him permanently from Inter Milan due to the arrival of Leroy Sane from Manchester City. They even mentioned a potential bargain fee of £13.5 million.

It was later suggested by CalcioMercato that Tottenham could even swap Erik Lamela for the Croatian star. 

Jose Mourinho would certainly be keen, having tried to sign him previously during his time at Manchester United, as he confirmed to Russia Today in 2018,  

But some Tottenham fans were not so keen on the idea when it was first being reported. 

Perisic however put in a stellar showing as the inside-left wideman for Bayern and scored the second goal as the Bavarians romped to victory. 

It is fair to say that has seen some Tottenham fans change their opinion on the 31-year-old…
