Tottenham Hotspur are really interested in signing ‘world-class’ striker at the end of the season
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford in the summer of 2024.
That is according to journalist Dean Jones, who has named three other big Premier League clubs who are keen on securing the services of Toney at the end of the season.
So, what has been reported about Tottenham Hotspur and Ivan Toney? Let’s take a look.
Tottenham Hotspur eye summer 2024 move for Ivan Toney
Well, according to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ivan Toney from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer of 2024.
Jones has reported that Tottenham are having a look to see if they could sign Toney in the summer of 2024.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen on the 27-year-old England international striker, who was described as “a world-class” player by former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster.

Jones told : “The first thing to look for with Toney is whether or not he does actually sign a new contract. There’s been a lot of talk around it.
“But so far, there’s nothing in place for him to actually do that. And then all the talk around the new contract was that would include a release clause, which would need to be triggered in the summer for somebody to sign him. Now at the moment with that not in place, it obviously seems more feasible that Toney is attainable in the summer.
“I think there are a lot of clubs that genuinely are looking at Toney, I think that Arsenal and Chelsea are the two main ones.
“In the background, Tottenham and even Manchester United are having a look just in case the situation could change in a way that suits them.”
My View: Ivan Toney rumour worrying for Richarlison
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Ivan Toney is worrying for Richarlison. I believe that Spurs could be looking at the 27-year-old striker as a potential replacement for the Brazil international.
Yes, Richarlison is starting to do well for Spurs now. The Brazilian has scored seven goals and given three assists in 13 Premier League starts for the North London club this campaign.
However, we do not know for sure that Richarlison would be able to maintain this consistency. We have to wait and see.
If the Brazilian does not, then I would not be surprised if Spurs made a bid for Toney, who has been compared to Harry Kane.
The Brentford striker has made 68 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Toney has scored 32 goals and given nine assists in those games.
