Tottenham have watched Sheffield United player as they consider bid before deadline day with Liverpool and Brighton also keen
TBR Football understands that Ipswich Town have enquired about Sheffield United’s Scottish youth star Ryan One and could make a move for him this month, although Tottenham Hotspur have also had the forward watched.
Sheffield United have recently signed Ben Brereton-Diaz and Tom Cannon, meaning One is likely to be nudged down the pecking order at Bramall Lane.
Tottenham, of course, have a working relationship with the Blades after signing young striker Will Lankshear from the club.
One was snapped up by United in 2023 from Scottish outfit Hamilton Academical and he has been in and around the first-team squad this season and has featured in a dozen games.
But now, his impact at first-team level is drawing admiring glances from Spurs and more.

Ryan One in demand as Tottenham scout Sheffield United striker
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that interest is mounting in One. Brighton, who tried to sign the player before he moved to Bramall Lane, are again keeping tabs on him, whilst Brentford and Tottenham have also watched him in recent months.
Liverpool are another club who, like Brighton, hold a long-standing interest in the young striker.
Ipswich want to bolster their striking options this month and are thought to be leading the chase, while they are ready to let Ali Al-Hamadi leave the club. They have also enquired about Emmanuel Latte Lath and Haji Wright, but One could be the one they manage to bring in.
TBR can also confirm that Red Bull’s scouts have been watched One on behalf of both Leipzig and Salzburg, and they have also made contact but the most intriguing interest is emerging from France and Italy, with Monaco and Juventus also registering an interest.
Sources believe that Sheffield United are not looking to sell One, despite having brought in Cannon and Brereton-Diaz this week.
What Chris Wilder has said about Ryan One
Sheffield United are renowned in England for producing top young players but when it comes to Ryan One, he was one they brought in from afar.
Still, Chris Wilder has praised the club’s staff for identifying the signing of One and believes it’s something that needed pointing out.
“It’s a great spot by (then-head of recruitment) Paul Mitchell and the board needs appreciating for spending a couple of quid on a real unknown player. It’s important we nurture players through our academy,” of One’s signing.
“That’s something I’ve been delighted with, the young players coming in, the way we’ve changed our style as well.”
Whether or not the youngster is ready for the Premier League yet, is another question entirely.
