Tottenham have opened talks to sign Premier League striker with more goals than Ollie Watkins

The fact that Tottenham Hotspur’s top goalscorer in the Premier League is a midfielder in James Maddison (eight goals) suggests that they are in need of strengthening their striking department.

An injury has sidelined Dominic Solanke for weeks, which has emerged as a huge blow for Ange Postecoglou and Spurs.

Tottenham intend to sign a new forward to replenish their attacking department.

A player Tottenham have been linked with now is Yoane Wissa.

As Brentford sit in 11th place in the Premier League, a key reason behind that being the c🌊ase is Wissa — who has 11 goals so far — outscoring the likes of Ollie Watkins (10), Matheus Cunha (10) and Nicolas Jackson (nine) this campaign.

Tottenham open talks to sign Brentford striker Yoane Wissa

Alongside Bryan Mbeumo, Wissa has formed one of the most dangerous partnerships in the league, which Tottenham fans will witಌness as they face Thomas Frank’s side on Sunday.

Mbeumo has 14 league goals this season 🦋as the pair seem to share a telepathic connection with each other.

Journalist Santi Aouna has revealed that Tottenham have opened talks to sign Wissa — whose contract at Brentford expire🍎s in 2026 with the ♎option of a one-year extension.

It has also been claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s side cಞonsider the 28-year-old as a “concrete option.”

Postecoglou is keen to sign a versatile forward during the winter transfer window and Wissa fits the bill, as he can play as a traditional number nine, behind the striker and even on the left-wing. Ange P🌌ostecoglou revealed Tottenham’s interest in Randal Kolo Muani, who seemed set﷽ for a loan move to N17 before heading to Juventus.

Tottenham interested in Bryan Mbeumo

Tottenham are keen on snapping up Bryan Mbeumo as well.

🐻Arsenal and Liverpo🍰ol are also eyeing the in-form forward.

However, now that the Lilywhites have ramped up their efforts to sign Wissa, it seems ꦦunlikely that they will be able to sign Mbeumo as well.

Another striker Tottenham are interested in is Hamza Igamane, which shows that the♓ir main priority this January is to add more goals to their rosওter.
