Tottenham have now decided what they plan to do with Heung-min Son’s contract

Heung-min Son will go down as one of Tottenham’s greatest-ever players, with the attacker currently in his tenth season with the north London club.

Signed from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 for £22m, Son has since become one of the best goalscorers in the Premier League and a cult hero at Tottenham,𓃲 with Ange Postecolgou naming the South Korean international club♊ captain last year.

With Sam A𝔍l𒊎lardyce recently labelling Son as Tottenham’s main man, the versatile forward’s influence at Spurs has never been bigger even after all this time with the north Lond൲on club, where this season the 32-year-🀅old will hope to win silverware at last.

And Tottenham have now come to a decision𒐪 on what to do with Son’s expiring contract.

Tottenham set to trigger Son’s contract extension

According to , Tottenham will soon trigger Son’s contract extension to ensure the Spurs captain is still at the club for next season, with the attacker’s current deal set to end in🧸 the summer of 2025.

With Tottenham triggering Son’s contract extension, there’s a good chance that the north London side could sit 💦down with the South Korea international to discuss new terms entirely, with the attacker potentially open to 🌄staying well into his mid-thirties.

Indeed, with Dominic Solanke recently calling Son the bes𓄧t finisher at Tottenham, there’s good reason why Spurs want to keep hold of their club icon for a few more years given just how good the former Bundesliga star sꦍtill is.

And with Tottenham set to extend Son’s contract, a new deal entirely could be in the works if the 32-year-old is set on staying in north London, e🧔specially if the forward goes yet another season without winning anything.

Son could realistically stay at Tottenham until he retires

Although still one of the best attackers in the Premier League, Son is at a stage in his career where the forward will either remain with Tottenham until the very end 🌠or make a sentimental move back to one of hiꦆs former clubs.

And with Tottenham triggering Son’s contract to keep the attacker in north London until he’s 34-years-old, there’s a real chance that the South Korean could retire at Spurs if he can maintain his current level✨ of꧂ quality.

Son calling time on his incredible career at To༒tওtenham would be a rarity in football given how long the attacker has spent with the Premier League side, and it would be a fitting end to the attacker’s time in the sport that Spurs fans would love to see.
