Tottenham have made a move to sign striker compared to Paulo Dybala and can easily pay £25m asking price
Tottenham have made a move to sign a striker likened to Paulo Dybala – and money will not be an issue.
Spurs are looking to improve Ange Postecoglou‘s attacking department after the 2023/24 campaign fizzled out in quite disappointing fashion – and an agreement may not be too far off.
So, who have Tottenham made a move to sign? Let’s take a look…
Tottenham make Albert Gudmundsson move
A story from states that Tottenham have made a move for Genoa No.11 Albert Gudmundsson.
The Italian news outlet believe Spurs will experience “no difficulty” in meeting the Serie A outfit’s €30m (£25m) asking price – and are aided by a strong relationship with Genoa, who they successfully negotiated with back in January when signing Radu Dragusin.
Alberto Zangrillo – President of Genoa – has already admitted that he will let Gudmundsson leave this summer, so by all accounts, this transfer rumour does appear to have legs.

The Iceland international enjoyed a tremendous 2023/24 campaign, scoring 16 goals and also providing five assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Spurs could finally sign Paulo Dybala style forward
Tottenham famously came close to signing Paulo Dybala back in August 2019 before Juventus pulled the plug – according to the .
Now – however – Spurs could finally sign a striker similar to the Argentina international in Gudmundsson.
Media outlets in Italy tend to compare the Icelandic forward to Dybala due to their similar dribbling skills, and the Tottenham target himself even addressed these comparisons when speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Gudmundsson : “It fits. We both wear our socks down.”

To be more specific, the man from Reykjavík operated as something closer to a second striker last season, so it seems he would be able to play with Heung-min Son in Postecoglou’s system.
Gudmundsson also made an appearance on the left last term – as shown on his page – so we wouldn’t expect there to be any problems in regards to getting him into the starting XI.
