Tottenham have got to consider Liverpool ace reportedly ‘ready to leave’ – TBR View
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has struggled to prove his worth at Anfield since his £58million move to the Reds and now he is reportedly ‘ready to leave’ – and Jose Mourinho should consider an escape route for Keita.
Keita, 25, has endured a number of niggling injuries since his move to Liverpool and that has limited the box-to-box midfielder to just 51 appearances in all competitions. He has played just 18 times this season, in league and cup.
It is a far cry from the midfielder that had a hand in 32 goals during 71 RB Leipzig appearances. Keita still has three years left on his Liverpool deal, but MilanLive claim he is ‘ready to leave’ with Milan keeping tabs on the situation.
Indeed, the report claims the Reds have already targeted Ruben Neves as a replacement – as the Portugal international continues to shine for Wolverhampton Wanderers. So, what next for Keita?

The report states that Bundesliga clubs are keen as are Milan, but surely Keita still has something to offer in the Premier League if he is made first choice – something which he failed to achieve at Liverpool.
Tottenham have got to consider bringing the Mali skipper to north London. in 2017 that Mourinho wanted the midfielder at Manchester United, so the Portuguese boss is clearly an admirer.
But Spurs should really consider a move because they lack goals from central midfield. Dele Alli and Gio Lo Celso are best used in a 10 role, but the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Eric Dier simply do not score goals.
Bringing a player like Keita who is more than willing to join the attack from midfield – and boasts the stamina to get back into position – would add another dimension to Tottenham’s pursuit of Champions League football.
If Keita is available this summer, Tottenham must consider a move.
