Tottenham have been scouting 6ft 4inch Englishman who just failed a medical at Man United
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been scouting one English talent for three years, one who just failed second medical at Manchester United.
Right now, all seems incredibly positive for Ange Postecoglou in north London, who’s side have begun pre-season in strong form.
After beating Hearts 5-1 earlier in the week, Spurs also dispatched Queens Park Rangers on Saturday thanks to goals from Yves Bissouma and Dane Scarlett.
And if it wasn’t already obvious following Wayne Burnett’s side winning the Premier League 2, it’s becoming very clear just how much young talent exists in N17.
Jamie Donley played at left-back once again in Saturday’s win, and Lucas Bergvall earned his first start since arriving from Sweden.
Postecoglou has already hailed Bergvall’s start in north London, a youngster who should remain with the first team this season.
And in terms of readying Postecoglou’s senior side for the new season, perhaps Johan Lange will still be chasing a new goalkeeper.
Guglielmo Vicario’s number one spot isn’t in doubt, but perhaps the club could find an upgrade on Fraser Forster and Brandon Austin as number two.
Tottenham have been scouting English goalkeeper Toby Savin for three seasons
That being said, in Sunday’s printed publication, The Sun (page 59, 21/07) have just shared some news which perhaps indicates that desire.
23-year-old Toby Savin, who has recently signed for Shrewsbury Town in League One, is said to be someone that Tottenham have been scouting for three or so years.

The report details that Savin was Manchester United’s preferred option to be their new third choice keeper this season given Tom Heaton is heading into a coaching role.
However, Savin ended up failing two medicals at Old Trafford, meaning he sought a move to Shrewsbury instead.
The information insists that both Newcastle United and Tottenham had also been scouting Savin over the past few seasons – who perhaps chose not to pursue a move upon news of his failed medicals.
But either way, the update would suggest that Spurs are still in the market for a new goalkeeper, and perhaps considered Savin as someone who could have competed for the number two spot.
As well as Forster and Austin, Postecoglou does also have Alfie Whiteman at his disposal, but it still feels as if a significant injury to Vicario would cause a considerable issue.
All that being said, Postecoglou has just shared an update on Bergvall after reports of an injury against QPR.
