Tottenham have added ‘very talented’ defender to their shortlist, as Nuno hunts first signing, Romano claims

Maxence Lacroix is on Tottenham Hotspur’s list of central defensive targets, Fabrizio Romano has reported .
Tottenham are linked with a whole host of central defensive targets as Nuno looks to bolster his side’s backline.
And it turns out that Lacroix is the latest name to emerge on Spurs’ shortlist.
Lacroix is still relatively inexperienced and has never played in England before.

But his speed is a major asset, and that may help Spurs out, as many of their current centre-backs are not the quickest.
Both Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier can struggle playing in a high line, but Lacroix would have no such issues.
A big talent
Indeed, he has been earning rave reviews off players and pundits in the past year.
Wolfsburg goalkeeper Koen Casteels has said of his teammate to Planet Football: “He arrived here from France and I was amazed at how well he adapted to the level here. He’s a very talented boy.”
The problem for Spurs is that any transfer would be unlikely to come cheaply, and it may be that they have to offload players before considering bringing the French youth international in.
