Tottenham fans were so impressed with what Lucas Bergvall did in their Europa League win over Frankfurt
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been making the same point about Lucas Bergvall’s performance against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
Ange Postecoglou’s team became just the second Tottenham Hotspur side to reach the semi-finals of a European competition across the last 40 years.
Dominic Solanke’s first-half penalty proved to be the decisive moment in the tie as the North London club managed to hold on to their slender lead in the second half.
It was a coming-of-age performance by this Tottenham team, and once again, the display of Bergvall has the club’s supporters talking.

Tottenham fans thought Lucas Bergvall bossed the midfield battle vs Frankfurt
Tottenham fans were so impressed by the performance of Lucas Bergvall, who bossed the midfield battle away in Frankfurt.
Bergvall struggled in the early stages of his Tottenham career, however, he has quickly got up to speed in Lilywhite colours.
In the early stages of their Europa League campaign, Bergvall was hooked after just 13 minutes against Qarabag, but now, he is most certainly a crucial player.
At the Deutsche Bank Park, the midfielder was superb and formed a very solid partnership alongside the much-improved Rodrigo Bentancur.
After the match, Spurs’ supporters took to X to share their appreciation for the teenager’s display against the German club.
One fan claimed: “A lot of heroes in Spurs green tonight, but Lucas Bergvall deserves a huge shoutout. Turned 19 in February, had never played at a level higher than the Swedish Allsvenskan before this season. Started the season way off the pace, now comfortably a key player. Superb display.”
Another supporter added: “Get Lucas Bergvall a new contract. Plays like a veteran out there and is such a presence. Well done lad
There was yet more praise for Bergvall: “Two things to say! COME ON YOU SPURS!!! And get Bergvall on a 10-year contract and build a team around the kid! Absolutely immense along with Bentancur.”
Finally, one fan claimed: “Player of the season. It’s only April, but my word…what a player. £8.5m? He looks like he’s worth £85m. Lucas Bergvall. Remember the name.”
