Tottenham fans thrilled with Harry Kane’s World Cup hat-trick against Panama

🥃England captain Harry Kane helped secure qualification to the World Cup round-of-16 yesterday, as England routed Panama 6-1, with the 24-year-old’s hat-trick putting him atop the list of goalscorers in Russia on five.

🐎Having scored 41 goals for Tottenham last term, Kane was tipped for a successful tournament this summer, but nobody, including himself, will have expected such a dazzling start to the competition following 2016’s Euro disaster.

ꦅHis two first half penalties were capped off with an inadvertent touch, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek fired a shot off his heel in the 62nd minute  – with John Stones and Jesse Lingard also netting on the day – and Spurs fans have since taken to Twitter to commend their talisman.

Here’s the reaction:

꧙There’s no question England will face tougher tests, with Belgium on the horizon, and Kane will need to continue his brilliant vein of form if Gareth Southgate’s side have ambitions of going far in the competition.

💦However, there’s nothing to suggest the Englishman has any intention of slowing down. And if anything, we’ve seen in the past that once Kane approaches individual records and accolades, his level elevates, and the prospect of winning the Golden Boot will add extra motivation on top of the quest for World Cup gold.
