Tottenham fans respond to player’s Tweet, amid reports he has been offered to Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the lookout for a new striker and have been offered the chance to re-sign Napoli target man Fernando Llorente – and Spurs fans have now replied to the Spaniard’s latest Tweet on Wednesday morning.
Llorente, 34, signed for Napoli in the summer on a free transfer after he was released by Tottenham – despite the powerful forward having a big impact in Spurs’ journey to the Champions League final. He agreed a two-year deal with Napoli.
However, just six months later, that Napoli have offered Tottenham the chance to re-sign Llorente on a short-term deal. Since moving to Napoli, Llorente has scored four goals in 22 games – including one against Liverpool.
The World Cup winner posted on Twitter on Wednesday morning after playing the full 90 minutes of Napoli’s 2-0 win over Perugia in the Coppa Italia, as a brace from Lorenzo Insigne was enough to see of the Serie B side.
His Tweet is translated as: “Come on Napoli, go on like this.”
Forza Napoli! Avanti così! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Spurs are likely to be after a striker following the injury sustained by Harry Kane in the 1-0 defeat to Southampton. Jose Mourinho has since confirmed Kane has suffered a tear to his hamstring, and could be out until April.
AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek as been strongly linked with Spurs, though plenty of other options are said to have been offered to Spurs – or are being considered. Tottenham fans have replied to Llorente’s Tweet, with some saying “come home”.
