Tottenham fans reply to Newcastle man’s Tweet, urge him to move to north London
Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin impressed for the Toon once again on Wednesday night despite Steve Bruce’s side suffering a 3-1 defeat to Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham – and fans have responded to the player’s Tweet.
Since his move from Nice last season, 23-year-old Saint-Maximin has become somewhat of a fan favourite at the club. Clocking up 28 appearances in total, the French winger has had a hand in 11 goals for Bruce’s side.
He posed a threat for Newcastle on Wednesday night as he looked to add to his four goals and seven assist but Matt Ritchie’s goal was cancelled out by a Son Heung-min opener, and a Harry Kane brace.
Saint-Maximin posted on Twitter after the match, assuring fans that their side tried their best but to no avail – it could also be his last match of the season, after he picked up an injury.
We did our best to win… It's frustrating 👊🏾

that Tottenham are interested in signing Saint-Maximin with Jose Mourinho clearly impressed by the Frenchman. It is unclear how much Saint-Maximin would cost.
The winger has a contract at Newcastle until the summer of 2025, after initially signing a six-year contract with the Toon. Nevertheless, Tottenham fans responded to the winger’s Tweet, urging him to move to north London.
