Tottenham fans react to training ground footage of Steven Bergwijn
Some footage has emerged fresh from the Tottenham training ground which showcases Steven Bergwijn looking full of confidence and supporters have lost their minds.
The Dutch forward signed for Spurs in January 2020 but has failed to really produce the goods on a consistent basis since heading to North London from PSV for
Bergwijn’s confidence appeared to hit rock-bottom under Jose Mourinho this season. He has been used sparingly and as a result, his form has dropped off drastically.
He has registered seven assists during 33 outings in all competitions, although a large number of his opportunities have come from the bench.
The £ performer has scored three times and registered eight assists during 49 appearances for Tottenham, finding first-team chances hard to come by.
Bergwijn is yet to start under Ryan Mason’s spell as manager but looking at the clips of training, a chance might be forthcoming before the end of the season.
He looked to be full of confidence and showcased some really tidy finishing skills – much to the delight of the Tottenham faithful.
